No, It Has Not "Come to That."

How much do you want to bet that the sitting in at a San Francisco gas station--praying for God to "deliver us from high gas prices"--voted for the administration that adopted the policies that are helping to keep gas prices high in the first place?

P.S. I never thought I'd say this, but: Hillary Clinton, STFU.

I thought that this administration's policy of fighting an unprovoked war followed by an open-ended occupation was specifically designed to keep the oil supply under American control, thus suppressing prices and preventing the second-largest oil fields in the world from falling under the control of a government that might want to abandon the petro-dollar standard and start dealing in Euros.

I can't really blame these guys for high oil prices. We're just coming closer to paying what everybody else pays for oil after decades of paying an artificially low price.

Jono:

Reminds me so much of the climactic and inimitable final scene of the movie There Will Be Blood (spoiler) in which Plainview twists the arm of down-and-out reverend Eli into renouncing his faith, and then tells him that his last patch of land is bereft of oil. "Drainage."
